Surf Photographer displays Warzone Portfolio
I first met Nik Bothma on board the boat, on the way out to Dungeons, to shoot big wave surfing. In fact I knew of his work in and around surfing before that, but it turns out Nik also has a serious side when it comes to shooting. Putting himself in war zones, such as when Liberian leader, Charles Taylor, fell from grace, has a whole new danger element when compared to shooting 60ft waves. Child soldiers, raving lunatics and flying bullets - I think I will stick to the Extreme Sports.
