SLAyTEN - Kelly Slater makes it 10

Kelly Slater claimed his 10th world title on saturday, to become arguably the world's best athlete of all time. He took the title on his wayto winning
the event, the Rip Curl Search WCT in Puerto Rico, he won the title after Jordy Smith was eliminated in the quarters. Jordy surfed well, but fell just short in his quarter, when he let Bourez in on a small wave right at then end of the heat.

Kelly beat Bede Durbidge in the final. He was clearly emotional with this win, especially considering his rival and friend, Andy Iron's, death earlier in the week. He dedicated his 10th to Andy and his family.

While Iam totally stoked for Kelly and his achievemant, have a thought for Taj Burrow, who lost to Slater in the semis. The judges may want to have another look at this heat, where Burrows felt pretty agrieved to have lost.

Congrats Kelly! You are officially THE legend!
