Kilian Martin - Internal Departure

When does an act become art? This question is raised every time I see Kilian Martin skate. The guy has taken skateboarding into the land of the surrealist with incredible feats of trickery blended with both great film work and audio accompaniment. Just sit back and allow the vision to take hold...

The Epic & the Beasts - Slo Mo Skate Porn

What happens when you give guys the right toys to make the action cinema they want to make? You get web videos like this. Really inspiring little piece shot on some very expensive gear...

When we were kids we never dreamt of being a firemen, a pilot or superhero. We always wanted to be skateboarders, jumping up curbs, down the stairs and filp our boards as many times as we could. This has not changed until today. TOM KLEINSCHMIDT - RICHARD NAUMERTAT - ERIK GROß OCTAVIO TRINDADE - DAVID RADERECHT - SEBASTIAN LINDA Directed & Edited by Sebastian Linda www.sebastian-linda.de

BMX from the Air - Sebastian Keep & House Park

What an incredible Bowl.

I love this video. it has some a mellow rhythm to it. Having said that, it also make me a little depressed as we don't have anything like this park in South Africa. It looks like the architects incorporated it into the building design. It's like a piece of sculpture!

Rolling with RVCA

My day started well yesterday, with the great news that I am teaming up with RVCA SA, under their Artist Network Program, or ANP. We did the Rolling Retro surf event with RVCA at the beginning of the year and it looks like next year could produce an even better event, and possibly more venues around SA. So worth watching this space. In the meantime I get to roll in one of the world's coolest brands and play with some of the coolest and brightest creative minds on the planet.

So with this new partner in crime, mayhem, and blissful artistic expression, I thought it best if you and I both learnt a little more about RVCA. The brand? The people? You get the drift. So I asked the magical web internet and was told the following -

RVCA is the brainchild of company Founder and Creative Director, PM Tenore. Transcending the boundaries of traditional action sports apparel, RVCA is a design-driven lifestyle brand free from passing trends. Appearing as a natural on the shelves of boutiques as on those of a local skate shop, RVCA is brought together by a group of likeminded individuals from various subcultures, a collaboration of sorts, a lifestyle within itself.
PM Tenore’s intention from the very beginning has been to create a platform for RVCA which combines art, music, fashion and a modern lifestyle in an original way. At the forefront of this vision has been RVCA’s Artist Network Program (ANP) – a venture established to showcase the talents of accomplished as well as unknown artists who inspire our generation and push the boundaries of creative excellence.
Established to promote the genuine integrity of RVCA’s subcultures while simultaneously giving back to the community, RVCA in essence is redefining the way the market views art and fashion as represented through the balance of opposites and how they coexist: water, oil; air, land; destruction, industrialization; art, science; foreign, domestic; order, anarchy; past, present.
For RVCA, it is about today, tomorrow and life as the big picture. It is about inspiring our generation, providing something of substance and culture and above all doing it with integrity and as a united family, a close knit community.

The RVCA Artist Network Program, commonly referred to as the ANP, is an ongoing program which aims to showcase the talent of accomplished as well as unknown artists who inspire our generation and push the boundaries of creativity; providing something of substance and culture.

To RVCA, an artist is not someone who just paints a picture, or writes a song, but someone who is dedicated to sharing with the world their life, emotions and soul through innovative and creative ideas. RVCA and the ANP were developed to shake the very foundations of the business, by giving back to the artists and providing a voice for their creative growth.

Over the next couple of weeks, I will start introducing some of my favorite riders, fighters and artists in the program. I cannot wait to shoot with some of the SA and international guys. In the meantime, here's a few vids from the Blogs.
