Still Ripping - Byron Howarth Searching

In my youth, we as SA surfers entered the world at large again and became a part of the greater surfing community - due to apartheid falling away. In this time there were very few SA surfers who could make the grade internationally. There were two however that really stood out, Franky O and Byron Howarth. Both of these guys were sent off searching with Tom Curren and the Search team and got to live and experience a life we as SA surfers pretty much did not even realize existed. Many years down the line and Byron is now living in Oz and working for Insight. He can still surf though. Good to know the man who inspired my wonder lust for travel is still doing it himself.
