The Friday Mix - New Bodyboard film, JOB charges Wedge & Unit Pool Party

Welcome to your Friday Mix, just the right blend of web videos to get you frothing for your weekend. We start off with the trailer for the new Bodyboarding film, The Pursuit of Excellence. It looks really well shot, with a cinematic feel and of course incredible riding. Following this is everyone's favorite tube king, Mr Jamie O'Brian, charging the infamous Wedge in California. Normally a wave left to the bodysurfers and bodyboarders, Jamie charges it on a big swell on the first day of spring. We finish off with a little bit of Pool Party fun with the team at Unit, as they send out a casting call for their next dirty pool party. (Great idea...)

The masters of progression? Albee layer wins Innersection 2012

The votes are in, the judges have made their calls and the 2012 Innersection Video winner is, Albee Layer, from Maui. The guys from Maui have been dominating this competition and one wonders if they got Taylor Steele a holiday home on the Island? Jamie O'Brien came in a close second and I have to admit to thinking his entry was better! The footage from giant, Nias, alone was enough to win me over. But, congrats to Albee, I am sure he must be one stoked dude!

 This week on my Friday Mix, I give you the latest from Red Bull Media and that maniacal surfer, Jamie O' Brian. His surf movie, Who is JOB, was pretty much the best surf film in the last few years and on the back of that success, he has decided to make, Who is JOB 2.0. The new project is a web series made by Red Bull and a new episode is released every second week.
