3 Minute Gaps - Dirt Bike air Mahem

I seem to be watching more and more mountain biking these days - helped by the fact that films like "Life Cycles" and "Seasons" are being so well made. So here is the trailer for the new kid on the block, 3 Minute Gaps...

"3 Minute Gaps," a thrilling documentary about incredible mountain bike riders aiming to be the best. "For two years the crew of 3 MINUTE GAPS have followed the world’s best mountain bike racers around the globe documenting them as they trained, prepared, rode, ate, traveled, raced, celebrated, commiserated, and made sacrifices simply because of the weight of ambition to be the fastest. There is no truer, more accurate and intimate depiction of the hallowed worlds of the very best World Cup rider's than 3 MINUTE GAPS." www.3minutegaps.com

This is snowboarding - Ryan Tiene

We continue DC's "This is snowboarding" campaign with team rider, Ryan Tiene. This guy has it all from big mountain powder lines, massive kickers with big tricks and great urban walls and jibs. One of my favorites in the series so far!

Captain Kai's Video of the Week - 3

Pow Pow! by Arbor
Ok, back to the snow for this week's video of the week. Arbor, one of the more underground snow brands around, provide a great look into free riding absolutely prime powder conditions. Beautifully shot and edited, I really enjoyed this video.

"At it's roots Arbor is a "Big Mountain" snowboard company all about powder, pillows, cliffs, chutes, glades, open bowls and and just plain getting deep into the backcountry. In this latest video from the Arbor northwest crew, Byron Bagwell and Shawn Freyer take us into a world of powder packed pillow lines. Get me there!"

Mental Ski Shinanigans - Red Bull Cold Rush Final Days

A lot of people went nuts earlier this week, when I posted the first day of the Red Bull Cold Rush 2011. All I can say is, wait till you see day 2 and 3!
Big mountain Slope Style!

For day 2 they built probably the biggest all mountain Slope Style course ever seen and followed that up with a day riding cliffs. I really hope that Red Bull or one of their competitors do something similar for Snowboarding! Enjoy the madness!

Where the trail ends - A Freeride Movie

Ok, so watching the crazy antics of some guy riding a mullet event in Chile, inspired me to see what was out there movie wise for Freeriding. This is what I cam across through Red Bull.
So dam pretty! (Photo: Red Bull)
Freeride Entertainment, producers of the New World Disorder series, are pleased to announce the beginnings of a new project taking mountain biking back to the roots of freeriding.

Where the trail ends... is the start of a new feature film based on the natural terrain progression of riding in remote international locations. Freeride is excited about their new project which started deep in the Gobi desert in China earlier this year.

Featured riders from this first expedition were Darren Berrecloth, Kurt Sorge, and James Doerfling.
